Thomas J. Walsh

Attorney Thomas “TJ” Walsh founded The Walsh Law Firm, LLC in 2021 after nearly a decade practicing as a multi-state litigator and counselor. After growing up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, TJ moved to Florida to attend Florida Gulf Coast University immediately followed by law school at Nova Southeastern University. Over the span of his career, TJ has defended the nation’s largest automobile manufacturers, protected small and mid-sized business interests, drafted contracts for tech companies such as Google, and represented some of the largest golf course communities in South Florida. TJ’s well-rounded experience provides a unique perspective that enables him to capture all his client’s needs and goals with each project. 

TJ is licensed in California, Florida and Washington, D.C, along with numerous federal courts. TJ protects businesses in the technology, healthcare, transportation, retail, real estate, food/beverage, and hospitality industries. He counsels employers in multiple states by helping them navigate complex federal, state and local employment laws and creating strong employment and HR policies that add value and promote company objectives, including everything from onboarding documents to Employee Handbooks. Additionally, TJ defends companies of all size against wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment and retaliation actions; as well as class actions and multi-plaintiff lawsuits. 

TJ is a passionate advocate for clients and is committed to providing the quality advice that matters at an affordable rate. He is committed to building community through access to legal services and stewardship and he as served as Chairman of the Labor & Employment Section of the San Mateo County Bar Association (San Mateo, CA, 2018 – 2019), as well as Membership Director on the Board of Directors for the Gay & Lesbian Lawyers Network (Fort Lauderdale, FL, 2012 – 2014). 

TJ spends most of his free time playing tennis, traveling, and hanging out in the kitchen making pasta and tiramisu.
